Girls Night Out

Category: Personal,Pictures | Comments (0) | Valerie @ December 6th, 2006

This past Monday, Mom, Brittain and I decided to make a last minute trip to visit Aunt CC in Eatonton. Brittain had been saying how much she missed Aunt CC (even though it had only been about a week since she saw her last). We decided it was time for the Clark girls to get together. Girls nights are so much fun! We spent the night and only got a couple of hours of sleep before having to head back to work the next day. But, as we all said, it was completely worth it!

We arrived at Aunt CC’s apartment and as soon as we walked in the door and Brittain saw her aunt, a permanent smile was on her face. I don’t think it left her face until she fell asleep that night. CC gave Brittain a tour of her apartment. Brittain has learned that she loves Christmas…so many beautiful lights!

Brittain even got a visit from Jeff, Aunt CC’s friend from work:

Aunt CC suggested that we ride over to the Ritz to check out the Christmas lights and gingerbread house. 1.2 million lights cover the property and the gingerbread house is the largest one in the South!

Paaartay!

This past Saturday we celebrated Kate’s 24th birthday! All of us had a wonderful time. It was great being able to celebrate with such special friends.

Our original plan was to have an adult’s night out…getting sitters for the babies. But, in the end our original plan looked like it wasn’t going to work out when Bradley and Alison were unable to find a sitter. So, we made a change. We ended up having a family night, and honestly, I believe it was more fun than it would have been had we done anything different.

Dan had to work until 5, so the rest of us decided to all ride together in the Tahoe. Talk about a sight! All 3 babies were lined up on the second row of seats safely in their carseats. You will notice from the pictures that the third row had to take care of the fussy babies. At one point, Bradley was feeding 2 babies at the same time. Hilarious!

Brittain took a few minutes to show off her new outfit before everyone arrived:

Brittain was slightly upset when we left. Robert was just stunned…perhaps it was because he was surrounded by two such beautiful women:

The restaurant wore the babies out, so the ride home was quite a bit more peaceful:

No title necessary

There’s no explanation necessary for these. She’s just so sweet.

Spending time with Uncle Doug. The strange look on her face comes from the fact that she hardly recognizes him 20 lbs. lighter and with a full beard!

We were asked this year to play the Holy Family at the Hanging of the Greens service. It was such an honor and a moving experience. I cried the entire way down the aisle.
