blogging about daily life from Griffin, Georgia

what’s this?

I can only imagine that this is what Brittain thought when she looked outside on this day.  I mean, I even thought it for a brief moment.  This snow day was especially rare.  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen snow like this before (from what I can remember, at least).  I loved it that Brittain was able to experience it and enjoy it and take it all in… and that’s exactly what she did.

We tested it out right when the snow started falling:

“Okay.  I think I’m ready for this.”:

Eventually we decided that we were cold enough, and perhaps we could still enjoy it from the warmth of the inside…and maybe eat a little pizza, too.:

The day certainly wasn’t complete without some hot cocoa.  (I love this picture):

Kyla Rose

Although Kyla Rose and her mommy live in Macon, they continue to be a major part of our lives.  Thanks to Amanda, we were able to plan a short playdate (as long as they could play before naptime was eminent).  Brittain STILL talks about Kyla Rose on a daily basis.  She obviously had a huge impact.

weekends

Category: Personal,Pictures | Comments (0) | Valerie @ January 12th, 2008

Brittain is a smart kid (even if I do say-so myself). I truly believe that she knows when the weekend is coming closer. Quite often I will ask her, “Do you know who’s coming to see you this weekend?” She’s become very familiar with her weekend visits from Aunt Su Su. I believe that she’s become so familiar with it that she knows when it’s coming. I also love it when she visits. I love spending time with Aunt Susan, but it also gives me a chance to catch up on things I’ve let go during the week. One of the great thing about these visits is that I can accomplish my tasks that I need to get done, but I can also have my baby right there with me. Any time I want to go see her, I can do that. These pictures were taken when I snuck away from cleaning the house so that I could check on Brittain and see how much fun she was having. I love it!
